'It was time': Canada set for long-awaited women's Para hockey world championships

A veteran of the Canadian women’s Para hockey team, Picton had always imagined lining up alongside her teammates at the Winter Games. Instead, she made it to Beijing as a nordic skier, because women’s Para hockey remained absent from the Paralympic program.

Roster projection shows Canada is clear favourite at 2026 World Juniors

Team Canada wrapped up the World Junior Summer Showcase with a 6-2 win over the United States on Saturday in Minneapolis. At the end of the week, TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button projected Canada's roster for the 2026 World Juniors, which will be played in Minnesota.


Hockey Canada rounds out Women's Olympic Team staff

Troy Ryan's full staff for the 2026 Winter Olympics was confirmed by Hockey Canada on Thursday. Joining the Toronto Sceptres head coach on the women's senior team are Kori Cheverie, Hockey Hall of Famer Caroline Ouellette, Britni Smith and Brad Kirkwood.
