Little, 29, has struggled out of the gate for the Blue Jays, with two blown saves and two losses in five appearances. He has an earned-run average of 24.55 through 3.2 innings pitched, and his 10 earned runs allowed lead all relievers by a wide margin in the second week of the regular season.
The 6-foot-2 lefty entered the game on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox with the Blue Jays leading 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, but he allowed two home runs - including a two-run shot to Munetaka Murakami - to give the White Sox the lead.
“We’ve got to figure it out,” manager John Schneider said to reporters after the game about Little’s ongoing struggles. “We’re going to try to put the best team out there every single day, so we’ll definitely sit down and talk about it.”
Estrada pitched four scoreless innings in a bulk relief role in Saturday’s loss, his only appearance of the regular season.
Mantiply, 34, made his last pitching appearance in the majors on May of 2025 with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched in 15 games in the minors in the Blue Jays system last season after he was claimed on waivers in July of 2025, and held a 3.45 ERA over 15.2 innings with the Triple A Buffalo Bisons.
The 6-foot-4 lefty has a career ERA of 4.54 over eight big-league seasons split between the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Diamondbacks. The lefty was an All-Star in 2022, but held an ERA of 15.83 over 10 appearances with the Diamondbacks last season.
Voth, 33, last pitched in the majors with the Seattle Mariners in 2024. The righty has a career ERA of 4.70 over seven big-league seasons with the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles and the Mariners.
Toronto has lost three consecutive games entering Sunday’s series finale against the White Sox, and sit at 4-4 on the young season.
