Bruins sign F Reichel to one-year extension

The Boston Bruins have signed restricted free agent forward Lukas Reichel to a one-year, $950,000 contract.

Reichel, 24, finished the season with the Boston Bruins organization after he was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks for a draft pick prior to the trade deadline.

He was previously acquired by the Canucks from the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 24 in exchange for a draft pick.

The 6-foot winger had a total of three goals and eight points in 29 games this past season between the three teams. He also had seven goals and 19 points in 27 AHL games combined between the Abbotsford Canucks and Providence Bruins.

Reichel is coming off a two-year, $2.4 million contract carried a cap hit of $1.2 million.

Drafted 17th overall by the Blackhawks in 2020, Reichel has 23 goals and 62 points in 198 career games split between the Blackhawks, Canucks, and Bruins.

The Nurnberg, Germany, native represented his country at The Winter Olympic Games, recording two goals and three points. He has also represented his country three times at the World Hockey Championship, finishing as high as sixth place in 2024.
