The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenceman Jeremy Lauzon to a six-year contract extension worth $4 million annually, according to TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger was first to report an agreement between Lauzon and the Golden Knights.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, Lauzon is making $5.7 million in the first year of the deal, followed by $4.3 million, and then $3.5 million in the remaining four years.

Lauzon, 29, registered a goal and 13 points in 68 games with the Golden Knights last season while averaging 17:11 of ice time.

He appeared in 12 games for the Golden Knights in the playoffs, averaging 16:37 of ice time as his team fell in the Stanley Cup Final.

The 6-foot-3, left-shot blueliner is coming off a four-year, $8 million contract that carried a cap hit of $2 million.

Lauzon was acquired by Vegas from the Nashville Predators, along with forward Colton Sissons and a draft pick, in exchange for defenceman Nicolas Hague in June of 2025.

Drafted 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in 2015, Lauzon has 15 goals and 58 points in 384 career games split between the Bruins, Predators, and Golden Knights.

The Val-d’Or, Que., native represented Canada at the 2017 World Juniors, taking home a silver medal.
