The Seattle Kraken have named Patrik Allvin as vice president and assistant general manager and Pascal Vincent as assistant coach.
“Patrik is an excellent communicator in a team environment,” said Kraken general manager Jason Botterill, in a release. “He understands the importance of structure and a process in making decisions. You look at his experience evaluating talent in North America, Europe, amateur, pro, he’s had a lot of different titles over his career. He had success in Pittsburgh, winning three Stanley Cups, being a part of a group there [which included Botterill].”
Allvin was a finalist for GM of the year in 2024 while with the Vancouver Canucks. He was relieved of his duties on April 26, 2026 after three and a half seasons with the club.
Vincent, 54, spent the past two seasons as head coach of the Laval Rocket, the AHL affiliate on the Montreal Canadiens. He led the team to a 89-42-13 record across the two campaigns. He was head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2023-24 season and the team finished with a 27-43-12 record.
“Pascal’s worn every hat you can,” said Kraken head coach Lane Lambert. “He’s been a head coach at every level. He’s been an assistant coach at every level. He’s been coaching for 26 years and at the pro level for the last 15 years. For me, Pascal was the favorite right from the beginning based on his experience and what I was hearing about him. We feel very fortunate to get him into our mix.“
The Kraken finished last season with a 34-37-11 record and missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
